Description
The CCHEN PD-1 personnel dosimetry system performance, in the III AIEA/ARCAL intercomparison is analysed. This exercise was coordinated by the Laboratorio Nacional de Metrologia das Radiacoes Ionizantes (LNMRI), Brazil, in 1992. The PD1, TLD + film dosemeter, for β, γ and neutrons, is periodically calibrated at the CCHEN Secondary Standard Laboratory (SSL) and it was developed by the Dosimeter Laboratory. The intercomparison exercise show that the PD1 dosemeter fulfills all the requirements. the overall accuracy was 100% and the maximum energy and angular dependence were 25% and 20% respectively. the results and different tests applied in the intercomparison are given and discussed. The need of national intercomparisons, as quality control method, is briefly commented. (author). 10 refs., 6 figs., 5 tabs
