Curves for a quick calculation of gamma protection
Description
The authors present curves which indicate, expressed in Roentgen per hour at 1 metre, the ionization intensity produced by various point gamma sources through materials generally used in radiation protection: lead, iron or soft steel, baryte concrete, ordinary concrete, glasses of various densities. They also present curves representing the attenuation of photons of 3 to 8 MeV by the same materials. Some curves allow passing from a point source to a linear source or to a disk-source. These curves allow a quick resolution of most of current protection problems
