Nuclear LS-energy matrix elements with harmonic oscillator shell model wave functions for the configurations (lsub(i)lsub(i+1)|lsub(i)lsub(i+1)) and sum rules
Description
The nuclear LS-energy matrix elements have been calculated with the harmonic oscillator shell model wave functions for the configurations (lsub(i) lsub(i+1)|lsub(i) lsub(i+1)) where l1 = 1s, l2 = 1p, l3 = 1d, 2s, l4 = 1f,2p, l5 = 1g, 2d, 3s. The resulting matrix elements are expressed in terms of both Talmi integrals Isub(l) and Slater integals Fsup(k). In addition to this various sum rules are derived and applied to check the results of the calculations. (Author)
