Lymph node scintigraphy of the mandibular, facial and cervical regions
Description
A lymphoscintigraphic method for the imaging of mandibular, facial and cervical lymph nodes is described. 97 patients were investigated, 61% males and 39% females. In 13% of the inestigated patients normal lymph nodes and in 87% pathologic nodes were found. The specific lymphoscintigraphic signs for the various pathologic changes of the lymph system in the mandibular, facial and cervical region are described. Pathological studies confirmed the results of lymphoscintigraphy in 78% of the cases, while 22% wer false positive. (author)
