Physical modeling of directional energy transport of laser radiation

Description

This paper presents a technique for modeling extended (tens of kilometers or more in length) optically homogeneous paths under laboratory conditions and gives the results of modeling experiments on the determination of the energy-exchange efficiency between distant radiating apertures, using a phase-conjugation-self-aiming algorithm. It is shown to be possible to optimize the energy-exchange process at the expense of the appearance of diffraction effects. 12 refs., 5 figs
