Angular correlation between fission fragments in reactions of Ne + Au and Ar + Th

Description

The coincident fission fragment pairs from the reaction 20Ne + 197Au at E/A = 40 to 135 MeV were measured using MSU 4π array. Folding angle distributions are obtained characterized by impact parameter, from which the cross sections from different reaction processes as well as linear momentum transfer are estimated. Comparison is made with 40Ar + 232Th data which were taken with same experimental setup at E/A = 15 to 115 MeV. The results from Monte Carlo simulation are also presented
