Destabilization of drift-universal eigenmodes by toroidal effects

Description

An eigenvalue equation representing the drift-universal instability in toroidal geometry is investigated numerically. It is demonstrated that the form of passing electron Landau resonance appropriate to toroidal geometry can destabilize the slab drift wave. (author)
