Description
This session engaged panellists from DOE-EM, DOE-NE, NDA and AECL to discuss collaborative activities under way between two or more of the organizations, and which illustrate the different modes for collaboration. Presentations included the potential transfer of 50 year old technology from Dounreay to the circa $5 billion US DOE Versatile Test Reactor, progress being made in the trilateral collaborative effort on in situ decommissioning / disposal and the benefits of international peer review of regulatory documentation. There was presentations on two joint technology development and demonstration projects being funded by DOE and NDA.
