Description

Exclusive measurements for 7Li+112Sn system at Ebeam=30 MeV have been carried out to determine the cross sections for +1p transfer induced breakup into two alpha through different states of 8Be. Relative energy and Q-value distributions confirm the observation of breakup of 8Be from its 4+ (11.35 MeV) resonant state for the first time along with its well-known 0+ (92 KeV) and 2+ (3.12 MeV) states. The reduction in the maximum value of θ12 observed experimentally corroborates with the calculations incorporating the shift in the fragment energies due to post Coulomb acceleration when the breakup via 2+ and 4+ states is assumed to have occurred near the target
