Description
A possibility of ultrasonic inspection of welded joints of the system: tube-tube plate has been studied. Methods, diagrams and devices of ultrasonic control are described. To determine the reliability of the ultrasonic inspection results, the X-ray diffraction and, sometimes, metallographic analyses were used for inspection of all the welded joints. The investigation results have shown, that the ultrasonic control method has a good sensitivity. Minimum size of the revealed defect of a pore type, when inspecting, is 0.6 mm at 5MHz frequency and 0.3 mm at 15 MHz frequency
