Description
It has been found that reaction of anhydrous trichlorides of holmium, dysprosium, ytterbium and samarium with cobalt carbonyl and its derivatives NaCo(CO)4, NaCo(CO)3PPh3, Hg[Co(CO)4]2 in the medium of THf at -10-20 deg C results in the formation of previously unknown lanthanides with metal-metal bond. Certain properties of the complexes are studied. All the complexes are characterized by IR spectra and data of element analysis. They do not melt, decompose with decarbonylation, they are easily oxidated by air hydrogen and are easily hydrolyzed
