Effects of superconducting wiggler on the electron beam of the Pohang light source
Description
A 7.5 T superconducting wiggler is expected to be installed in the storage ring of Pohang Accelerator Laboratory. In contrast to conventional multiperiod insertion devices, approximate analytic methods using the average values will not work for this single period, high-field wiggler. We divide the wiggler into very thin slices and add up the contributions from all the sections. The linear effects, radiation effects, and dynamic aperture reduction are examined and we also propose a matching mechanism. (author)
