Description
A multidimensional analysis code has been developed to examine more precise thermal-hydraulic characteristics of steam generator for Fast Breeder Reactor. The shell side (sodium side) is modeled by porous medium and incompressible fluid in the two-dimensional geometry, and the tube side (water/steam side) is modeled by multi-channel compressible fluid. This paper presents the analysis code model, and some calculation results of a steam generator design. The development of the multi-dimensional analysis code leads to assessment of the sodium flow distribution, the sodium temperature, the outlet steam temperature and its flow distribution during all the operation modes such as rated, low load and decay heat removal operations
