The method of obtaining of rhenium-188 generator
Description
The method of obtaining of rhenium-188 generator for nuclear medicine from tungsten-186 regenerated from spent radioactive material was elaborated. The method includes the following stages. The target is obtained from tungsten-186 by passing the alkali solutions or ammonia one through generator column with spent generator rhenium-188. Then obtained tungsten solution is passed through the column with kalionite in H+-form and tungsten acid is dried. Then the tungsten target is irradiated by neutrons and is dissolved and tungsten-188 is transferred to matrix by sorption on aluminium oxide in H+-form. After that the elutriation of rhenium-188 is made. (author)
