Description

Contamination of the aerial parts of the plant composed by root uptake and dust particles sedimentation on the aboveground surface of plants. The americium has a high ability to air transfer in comparison and adsorption onto the surface of the aboveground parts with the plutonium. The main part of the isotopes of plutonium in plants is in the adsorption form (49%), and americium is in the form associated with organic matter (73%). (authors)
