Description

Power generation and transmission system is a physically and technically unitary system which requires a certain degree of hierarchical coordination and monitoring of consumer supply so that the following conditions to be satisfied: operation at the frequency and voltage parameters within the design variation limits; continuous power and electricity supply in order to meet the consumer demand; efficient operation of power generation, transmission and distribution system so that the process be both costly effective and competitive. The paper presents the requirements and directions in developing of the exiting power transmission system and the related problems of investment policy. (author). 1 fig., 1 tab.; 5 refs
