The sorption of uranium on strongly basic anion-exchange resins Pt. 1
Description
The influences of the sorption medium and of the resin linkage on the sorption of microamounts of 233U on anion-exchange resins were studied. For the experiments, anion exchange resins Dowex 1-X8 and Dowex 1-X2 were chosen and the distribution coefficients for 233U as functions of the HCl and HNO3 concentrations were determined. The 233U α-activity of samples was measured by a liquid scintillator solution using a decadic counter in connection with a scintillation probe, which was adapted for measuring the activity with liquid scintillators.
