Description

The fundamentals of fire protection engineering in a nuclear power plant are considered in the light of new US NRC regulations which emphasise a centrally controlled fire detection programme, under the supervision of an assigned fire-protection engineer. Recommendation related to the fire at Browns Ferry are discussed and recent trends and future prospects are outlined. (U.K.)
