Experimental study on criticality safety. Study on criticality characteristics and criticality accident phenomena of low enriched uranyl solution system at NUCEF

  • 1. Japan Atomic Energy Research Inst., Tokai, Ibaraki (Japan). Tokai Research Establishment

Description

A series of criticality experiments on neutron interaction system using 10% enriched uranyl nitrate solution have been performed at STACY, and Japanese criticality safety codes system, JACS for a complicated system was validated using the STACY data. For investigation of the criticality accident phenomena in fuel solution system, transient experiments have been conducted at TRACY, and a one-point kinetics code, AGNES2 was developed to establish the safety evaluation method.
