The generation of corrosive conditions in sodium heated steam generators

Creators

  • 1. Central Electricity Research Labs., Leatherhead (UK)

Description

This review summarises some recent work on the generation of corrosive environments in the steam/water circuits of nuclear steam generators. Much of the research was in support of A.G.R. programmes but is applicable to any boiler where high integrity is required. Emphasis is placed on those factors which are unique or particularly pertinent to sodium heated units tubed with ferritic steels. (author)
