Applications of CaSO sub(4):Dy to determination of absorbed dose by the eye crystalline in linear tomography

  • 1. Instituto de Pesquisas Energeticas e Nucleares (IPEN), Sao Paulo, SP (Brazil)

Description

Thermoluminescent pellets of CaSO sub(4);Dy were used to evaluate eye lens exposure during middle and internal ear linear tomography. The use of eye shielding protection was also studied. The obtained results show that a 1.0 mm thick lead plate reduces the absorbed dose by a factor of 30. (author)
