Description
EPICS provides support for the Allen Bradley VMEbus I/O Scanner. Support consists of a driver and device support. The driver provides the following features: Support for 8, 16, and 32 bit digital I/O modules. Inputs can be scanned such that the caller is notified whenever one or more bits of an input or output card change. Arbitrary Block Transfers (Input and Output) with the caller being notified when the block transfer completes or times out. Software scanning of analog output and input modules. Device support is provided for the following record types: ai, ao, bi, bo, mbbi, mbbo, mbbiDirect, and mbboDirect. This document describes the version of the Allen Bradley support that first appeared in EPICS release 3.12.beta11. The adapter and card status commands were not available until 3.12.beta12.
