On possibility of determination of spatial distribution of plasma ion temperature
Description
A problem is considered of determination of the ion temperature profile from the time-of-flight data and neutron energy spectra under conditions of an experiment on exposure of D-D and D-T targets to the laser radiation. Conditions are formulated which are necessary to derive an approximate solution. Calculations made for model examples show that determination of the ion temperature profile and its maximum value is possible. Real data processing has been performed on the assumption of the constant target density. An approximate expression is presented for the neutron energy spectrum in the model which takes into account directional motion of reacting nuclei
