LMFBR type reactor
Description
Purpose: To avoid the temperature slope liable to occur in the upper core mechanisms, the reactor vessel and the inner cylinder upon reactor scram thereby prevent the stratification due to temperature difference. Constitution: A plurality of electromagnetic pumps and flow pipes at the intake and exhaust sides therefore are provided within the reactor core upper plenum. When a temperature difference is resulted in the upper plenum which may possibly lead to stratification, the electromagnetic pumps are driven to circulate and intermix the coolants forcibly in the upper plenum.
