Description
The uniqueness of the National Accelerator Centre at Faure is situated in its multidisciplinary character, with particle therapy, isotope production and research in nuclear physics. Neutron therapy is used in curing cancer and the use of protons in therapy is investigated. For the first time radioisotopes can be produced locally which has exhaustive diagnostic advantages
