Double ionization of the helium atom involving absorption of many-photons from an intense laser beam
Description
The transition amplitude for double ionization of the helium atom involving absorption of many-photons of intense field in the ground state has been evaluated using the nonperturbative method of Reiss. Results show an important non-linear effect at high intensity. It is also found that at high intensity higher order processes are more probable than low order processes.
