New VReB boride and its crystal structure

Description
A new crystal structure of the VReB3 boride has been determined (sp. gr. P6/nmc, a=0.5083(1), b=0.5096(1) nm, z=2, R0.06). The U, Re and B atoms have coordination numbers 18.14 and 6+2, respectively. The coordination polyhedra of boron atoms and deformed octahedra. The UReB3 structure is similar to the AlB2 and ZrBeSi structures
