Effect of heavy quark mass on distribution over maximum momentum of e+e-→q anti q g process cross section
Description
The distribution over the maximum momentum T of one of the three hadronic jets produced in the e+e- → q anti qq reaction as a result of quark-, antiquark- and gluon fragmentation, has been found in the first order asub(s) of the quantum chromodynamics taking into account the quark mass. On the basis of the presented graphic dependencies of the differential cross section on T for some total energy values √ s, a conclusion is drawn that the allowance for heavy c and b-quark masses can somehow affect the distribution over T only up to energies √ s approximately 20 GeV. Some possible manifestations in future experiments of t-quark, which has not been found yet, are discussed
