Spectrum of EY Ori near the secondary minimum

Description

The results are given of spectral observations of the binary system EY Ori near the secondary minimum (eclipse). The spectrum of the star reveals the presence of a number of nonstationary processes manifested in variability of the line spectrum. The hydrogen line profiles indicate the existence of an expanding shell. Signs of the spectrum of the second component have not been found. The measured velocity of axial rotation of the observed component is 150+- 30 km/sec. At the phase 0.52-0.58 a deviation from the radial velocity curve of order 100 km/sec during the course of a day is observed. On the basis of the nature of the spectrum, the system has the features of typical Orion variables
