Description
By using computer-aided drafting and design (CADD), Atomic Energy of Canada Limited will reduce its overall project plan for the CANDU 300 reactor from five to four years. CADD is highly recommended for such large projects with complicated layouts. Drawings must be completed in less than half of the time to justify the cost of CADD, and they are. The designers actually simulate the process of construction, so that potential space problems are easily discovered. The computer maintains an inventory of parts.
