Description
A nuclear power station comprises of various reactor auxiliary systems and process water system which are required to be operated satisfactorily in order to reduce reactor shutdown time and thereby increasing plant availability. Apart from problems associated in a conventional plant, these cooling systems need to meet specific requirements arising mainly from radiation point of view. This paper discusses about these requirements, recommended water chemistry, method of control adopted and operational experiences. (author). 8 refs., 1 tab
