Summable series for a degenerate double-well potential
Description
A direct perturbation expansion for the ground-state energy of a degenerate double-well potential is shown to give a summable series. The alternative approach using a saddle-point evaluation of the path integral leads to a convergent series. Thus it is shown that there is no necessary connection between vacuum tunnelling and non-Borel-summability of the perturbation series. (author)
