Examples of ray tracing in ion inflectors

Description

A computer code has been written to calculate the transfer of perticles through ion inflectors in cyclotron centres, using the general theory presented in an accompanying contribution to this conference. The code is based on multiplication of elementary transfer and coordinate transformation matrices. Effects taken into account include transit time differences for different particles, variable values of the inflector strength, acceleration and deceleration at the edges, etc. Examples of these effects will be given.
