Experimental measurements of neutron yields and neutron emission rates in intermediate energy heavy ion reactions

Description
The neutron yields and emission rates have been measured with activation detectors for the intermediate energy reactions of 50 MeV/u 18O-ion on Be, Cu and Ac thick target. The experiment was carried out on HIRFL. The experimental data indicate that which one depends mainly on the species of ion beam and on the projectile energy per nucleon. The neutron yield and emission rate for a lighter target were greater than that for a heavier target
