In these lectures on the early universe I will review the pertinent features of big-bang cosmology used by astroparticle and non-accelerator physicists. The first section is a quick overview of cosmology. The second section discusses the growth of perturbations in the expanding universe. The final section illustrates the early universe-cosmology interplay by discussing inflation. (author)
