129Xe-NMR study of adsorbed xenon a new method for studying zeolites and metalzeolites

  • 1. Paris-6 Univ. 75 (France)

Description

The 129Xe-NMR study of adsorbed xenon is particularly interesting for determining certain properties of zeolites and metal-zeolites. In the case of zeolites it makes it possible to obtain informations about: the dimensions of cavities and channels, short-distance crystallinity, the nature of structure defects and the effect of cations. In the case of metal-zeolites, this technique enables us to determine quantitatively the distribution of phases chemisorbed on metallic particles and the number of these particles when they are invisible to electron microscopy
