Discovering b' through its FCNC decays

Creators

Description

This paper reports that the fourth generation b' quark, if it exists, may have unusual decay properties. Within the Standard Model framework, for a wide range of the parameters, mb', mt, mt', MH, Vcb, and Vtb', FCNC b' → b transitions could be substantial, even dominating over CC decays. Interesting FCNC decays would be b' → bγ, b' → bg, b' → bZ double-prime, b' → bZ and b' → bH0. Search strategies should be broadened to take into account these decay modes
