High-frequency stabilization of a plasma with a sharp boundary

Description

The effect of plasma filament eigen high-frequency oscillations in a cylindrical conducting casing on a stability of grooved disturbances is studied. Application of adiabatic approximation enables to obtain simple criteria of stabilization of grooved instability by HF-field. HF-oscillations of plasma with abrupt boundary are studied
