Radiosulfate determination of extracellular fluid volume in morbid obesity
- 1. Connecticut Univ., Farmington (USA). Dept. of Medicine
- 2. Connecticut Univ., Farmington (USA). Dept. of Nuclear Medicine
Description
A case is reported illustrating the difficulties in clinically assessing the degree of extracellular fluid volume overload in morbidly obese states. It is suggested that the measurement of the volume of distribution of orally administered radiosulfate may be of value in the clinical management of such patients. (orig.)
