2.5.3. Kinetics of phosphoric acid decomposition of calcined concentrate of borosilicate ore

Creators

Description

The process of phosphoric acid decomposition of calcined borosilicate ore concentrate was studied, the mechanisms of the occurring reactions were determined and the kinetics of the decomposition process was studied. The kinetics of phosphoric acid decomposition of calcined borosilicate ore concentrate was studied in the temperature range of 30-90 deg C and process duration from 15 to 60 minutes. On the basis of the obtained results, kinetic curves were constructed. With increasing temperature and duration of the leaching process the degree of boron oxide extraction from the borosilicate ore concentrate composition increases significantly. The maximum extraction of B2O3 is observed at sintering duration of 60 min. The kinetic curves are well described by the first order equation.
