Description

We have grown single crystals of Tl2Ba2CaCu2O8+x by self flux method. These crystals are characterized by XRD and resistivity measurements under magnetic fields up to 1T. The out-of-plane resistivity was measured by standard four probe technique. The out-of-plane resistivity increases with decreasing temperature up to the superconducting onset temperature and then suddenly drops to zero with a peak at a temperature Tm. Also we observe that the presence of the magnetic field perpendicular to the ab plane enhances this peak and shifts it towards lower temperatures. Such a peak can be explained with the help of the thermodynamic fluctuations of order parameter. (author)
