Time-of-flight spectrometer in DD-neutron experiments
Description
A neutron spectrometer based on measurements of the time-of-flight of DD-neutrons over a 55 cm base has been developed. The paper gives detailed consideration to the circuit of a low-noise current preamplifier which ensures a coefficient of amplification of 2000 and a front rise time of 5 nsec. The stabilization of the transistor stages is achieved by incorporating a deep negative d.c. feedback. Space-time selection is accomplished by the method of electron collimation with coupling to the accompanying particles (helions)
