Description
The photothreshold of ferromagnetically ordered, 2-at.%-La-doped (i.e., metallic) EuO is approx. 0.5 eV lower at 10 K than in the paramagnetic state. The difference between the correlation and exchange energy of the conduction electrons, which are unpolarized at T > T/sub c/ and fully polarized at T very-much-less-than T/sub c/, directly accounts for the shift of the threshold
