Occupational radiological protection of the control of closed sources in the seizure of a nuclear installation under the guidance of a supervisor

This work shows activities developed by the group of occupational radiation protection, the Department of Nuclear Industry of the Institute of Dosimetry and Radiological Protection of the Nuclear Energy Commission. As the nuclear regulatory authority in Brazil does not have specific rules on decommissioning, the work was done by stages. The occupational group has evaluated plans for radiological protection, surveys, besides monitoring grounds, walls and pieces. It also evaluates the efficiency of the operating procedures adopted. The work also gives consequences of these surveys and their influence on the resolution of difficulties found at this first time decommission activities made in Brazil
