Description

The research work has been formulated study the uranium concentration and associated water quality parameters in groundwater in Wardha districts of Maharashtra. The study was undertaken to establish the baseline data on uranium levels and associated water quality parameters of groundwater resources in the study region. Systematic on district-wise grid sampling plan was followed in the project and samples were selected on the basis of utilization of aquatic environment by the population clusters. The data will be used for intake and dose assessment to members of the public residing in the study area. Correlation studies is carried out to infer the cause of levels of uranium in water resource.
