Investigation of the diffractive reaction p + N → [Σ+K0] + N at the proton energy of Ep = 70 GeV and observation of the decay process X(2000) → Σ+K0

Description
The diffraction production reaction p + N → [Σ+K0] + N in the experiments at the SPHINX facility in 70 GeV proton beam is studied. The X(2000) peak with M = 1995 ± 18 MeV, Γ = 90 ± 32 MeV and with production cross sections σ = 182 ± 38 nb/nucleon is observed in the effective mass spectrum M(Σ+K0). These results are in good agreements with our earlier investigation of reaction p + N → [Σ+K0] + N, where X(2000) → Σ0K+ state is observed. This state is a serious candidate for exotic baryon with hidden strangeness. The branching ratio R BR[X(2000) → Σ+K0]/BR[X(2000) → Σ0K+] = 1.91 ± 0.38 was defined, that is in good agreement with R = 2, expected for baryon with isotope spin I = 1/2
Abstract (Russian)
На установке СФИНКС исследовалась диффракционная реакция p + N → [Σ+K0] + N при энергии Еp = 70 ГэВ. В спектре масс M(Σ+K0) впервые наблюдалась структура с массой M = 1995 ± 18 МэВ, шириной Γ = 90 ± 32 МэВ и сечением образования σ = 182 ± 38 нбн/нуклон. Эти данные хорошо согласуются с результатами, полученными нами ранее при изучении реакции p + N → [Σ+K0] + N, в которой наблюдалось образование состояния Х(2000) → Σ0K+, кандидата в экзотический барион со скрытой странностью. Определено отношение вероятностей распада R = BR[X(2000) → Σ+K0]/BR[X(2000) → Σ0K+] = 1.91 ± 0.38, хорошо согласующееся со значением R = 2, ожидаемым для бариона с изоспином 1/2Additional details
