Description

Based on the perturbation method, the resonant frequency changes due to apertures on a cavity wall were investigated, and analytical formulae were derived. The dispersion relation of a periodic disk-loaded slow wave structure was established which relates the group velocity explicitly to the shapes positions and sizes of coupling apertures and cavity geometries. The coupling coefficient β between a cavity and a waveguide was determined. (R.P.) 11 refs.; 5 figs
