Vector mesons as a Higgs phenomenon

Description
We propose an approach to couple vector mesons to the Skyrme model. We show that classically the model exhibits stable hedgehog baryons. The classically stable solutions are quantized. The nucleon-Δ splitting is found to be in good agreement with experimental results
