Production of specially pure rare and rare earth metals and some of their properties

The experimental results are given on the processes of ultrapurification some rare and rare-earth metals (including Cd and Be) by the methods of distillation, zone melting, electrotransport, and other using high- and ultra-high vacuum technique. Special attention is given to combination of different methods to achieve high degree of purification. The data on new phenomena and properties, found at studying physical properties of specially pure metals, are given
