Description
We study the motion of a circular vortex line, following the time evolution of its average radius. In the zero-width limit we obtain Nambu's equation. Up to the next order in the string width we obtain a dynamical equation that may be assimilated to the equation of an elastic string with a velocity-dependent string tension
